Cornish Language Organisations

Agan Tavas
A membership organisation, Agan Tavas arranges events including alanguage weekend, and publishes books, newsletters and AnGowsva magazine. The organisation supports those who prefer to useUnified Cornish or Unified Cornish Revised.

Kesva an Taves Kernewek
Kesva an TavesKernewek was established in 1967 by the Gorseth and the Federationof Old Cornwall Societies to promote Cornish. Its members areeither appointed representatives or are elected by Kowethas an YethKernewek. The Board administers examinations in Cornish, publishesbooks and runs classes.

Kowethas an Yeth Kernewek
A membership organisation, the Kowethas was established in the1970s. It organises events including a language weekend, publishesbooks and a regular magazine and elects the members of the CornishLanguage Board.

The Bishop of Truro’s Advisory Group for Services in theCornish Language
This Advisory Group advises on the use of Cornish in worship. Ithelps organise Cornish services in various locations, publishesmaterial and maintains links with similar groups in other Celticcountries.
